Sea Scouts 10-14 year-olds, Thursdays 1900-2100 |
At Sea Scouts real emphasis is placed on the importance of teamwork from the outset and the aim of the Troop is to develop Sea Scouts' lives physically, culturally and spiritually whilst having a lot of fun at the same time! The Troop participate in a number of regional competitions such as night hikes and regattas. The most important events on our water sports calendar are the Blashford Sailing Regatta and the Eling Canoeing Regatta. |
Winter activities typically include a little drill, an outdoor wide game and an indoor game such as 'Spotlight'. This is supplemented with work towards the Scout Proficiency Badge scheme. During the summer, the troop does sailing and kayaking, working towards RYA and BCU certificates. Subscriptions cost £2.50 per week, payable in advance at the beginning of each term. |
